Contact Zone entered the new season & circumstances of 2020 with a
series of related research sessions: Our body sensation seems able to reach beyond our own hands or feet.
This explains the sensation of e.g. your arm handling a tool like a
hammer, a drum-stick etc. In contact with another dancer this sensation
can bring us from a solo to a duet, from an individual to a group, even
if our skins don't touch directly. We use this skill in
contactimprovisation under the term extended contact.
Health-inclusive
To allow as many people as possibly to participate in this series, the
monthly meetings will be completed by a Zoom-session on the preceding
Sunday, and in September and October followed by an outdoor-session in
public space.
